Thank you for your emails to let me know about some of the issues your child was having with the links or setting up their account.
Updates:
- Origo Math at Home link updated
The link provided was supposed to take you directly to the grade 4 page, however it gives an error message stating you need to log in. So the updated link will take you to the home screen for Origo Math at home. You will scroll to the bottom and click on "United States." On the next screen, scroll to the bottom and select "grade 4." Then you will be able to click on "Week 1." - Prodigy class code not working
Students who are using their old login are supposed to link their account to our class by entering a class code. It does appear to be working at this time so I contacted customer support and am waiting to hear back from them. Your child may continue to use the account they are able to log into. Those who are logging in to Prodigy with Google are automatically connected to the class.
- Join our "Distance Learning" classroom on google
Follow the video tutorial to join our Distance Learning classroom. We will use this for all assignments and communication while school is closed. So far the following students have joined successfully: Linking, Cara, Eddie, Elim, Kyra, Tate, Rylan, Rylee, Peyton and Journey. - Set up Actively Learn account
Follow the instructions and tutorial to join Actively Learn. Those of you who joined previously will need to sign up again because I had to resync my account with our Distance Learning classroom. Students who have successfully set up their account are: Linkin, Cara, Eddie, Elim, Kyra, Tate, Rylan, Rylee and Peyton. - Read directions carefully
Some students are marking assignments as done before all tasks have been done. For example, the assignment on Epic requires you to read the book assigned ("Hawaii"), take the quiz, then find another state book to read and take the quiz on. The last step asks you to post a class comment about the second book you read. Once all of that is done, then you would mark the assignment as done. For the Math Origo at Home, mark the assignment as done after you do ALL of the activities for Monday-Friday. - Assignments posted are for the week
You are not expected to complete everything today. Pace yourself. Try a couple of GoNoodle activities to get your exercise in the for the day. I'll post other workouts you can try later. - Have a great day and help out your parents whenever you can. Start by making sure your room is clean and things are not left on the floor!
Please continue to let me know about any issues you encounter.
Thank you,
Mrs. Au
