      • Student examples of similes:
        • "The homework was as difficult as a rubiks cube."
        • "Our kitchen was messy like a pig's pen."
        • "The baby giraffe's neck was long like the Empire State building."
Science
  • It's electric!  To help students prepare for the HSA Science, we started learning about electricity. There are two types that we read about: static electricity and current electricity. Ask your chid "Which type of electricity runs through  our home?"
  • We started off exploring the different ways to light a bulb. Can your child explain what is needed to light a bulb?
  • We made predictions on what will happen if you have two bulbs and you remove one bulb in a series and parallel circuit. We will test it out next week to find out.
